Redgrave, Laurent, Ganz board 'Night Train'

LONDON -- Vanessa Redgrave, Melanie Laurent and Bruno Ganz have grew to become an associate from the cast of Bille August's existential thriller "Evening Train to Lisbon." Congressman Congressman Christopher Lee ("AlienInch), Lena Olin ("Wild Orchid"), Martina Gedeck ("The Lives of Others") and Jack Huston ("Outlanders") also join the cast, including formerly introduced Jeremy Irons. Pic, that's being co-funded and provided by K5 Worldwide, is put together by Ulrich Herrmann and Greg Latter, and is founded on the very best-selling tome by Pascal Mercier. Story follows a Swiss professor who, getting saved a stylish Portuguese lady from jumping to her dying, stumbles upon a enchanting book having a Portuguese author that obliges him to go away his boring existence and chance a journey searching for the scribe. Kevin Frakes' PalmStar Media Capital recently boarded the pic just like a co-financier, and join K5 and EFish Entertainment as backers for your pic. Pic is produced by Studio Hamburg FilmProduktion and C-Films (Europe), in co-production with C-Films (Germany), Cinemate and Tele Munchen Group. Additional cast include August Diehl, Nicolau Breyner, Adriano Luz, Jose Wallenstein and Beatriz Batarda. Pic switches into production in November, which is skedded to begin lensing in March 2012.
